Police: Chester Murder Suspect Turns Himself In

A Chester County man is in custody face murder charges after authorities issue a warrant for his arrest.

Officials with the Chester Police Department were seeking the whereabouts for Matthew Hightower in connection with the shooting that took the life of 56 -year-old Enric Wilson last Sunday just before 6:00 PM.

On Sunday arriving officers found Wilson on West Third Street suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso, according to officials. He was later pronounced deceased at the scene.

Hightower was developed as a suspect in the homicide during their investigation, according to officials.

An arrest warrant was issued for Hightower and his name was released to the media.

On Friday Hightower turned himself into the police and is in custody awaiting processing. He now faces murder charges, according to the Chester Police Department.
