Officials: Intruder Shot Dead At Montgomery County Home

Collegeville, PA. – Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele announced that police are investigating the shooting death of a possible home intruder inside a Collegeville home Saturday night.

The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. Saturday on the unit block of East 3rd Avenue in Collegeville.

Steele said responding officers found a 55-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials said the man forced his way into the home and was shot by one of the home’s occupants.

Authorities have not identified the deceased man at this early stage.

Officials said that there is no known public safety concern at this time.
