Police Charge Coatesville Woman With Stealing From Woman In Her Care

The West Whiteland Township Police Department has charged Charlique Boggs, 35, of Coatesville, with Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition, Access Device Fraud and Receiving Stolen Property, officials said Tuesday.

Authorities said Boggs was charged after an investigation into a reported theft from a 68-year-old township resident. The resident reported the theft of over $34,000 in cash over a six-month period.

The victim told police that an unknown person had withdrawn money from her account and made two car payments.

Boggs, who was working for the victim in a senior care capacity at the time, became a suspect because her name was allegedly linked to the car payments. Officials said other information was obtained which allegedly linked Boggs to the thefts from the victim’s bank account.

Boggs was arraigned by Judge John Bailey Tuesday and released on at $50,000 unsecured.
