Restaurant Owner Gunned Down In Point Breeze Section Of Philly

Philadelphia police are investigating the shooting death of 31-year-old Quadir Flippen inside a car in the Point Breeze section of the city Thursday morning.

Officials said local residents were awakened by gunfire and the sound of the victim’s vehicle crashing into parked vehicles along the 1200 block of South 24th Street.

Flippen well know in the area, was in front of his new restaurant, Black Seed Cafe, when gunmen opened fire.

Investigators have not said whether Flippen was driving or if he was parked when he was shot. He was found in sitting in the driver’s seat of his vehicle when police arrived on scene.

He was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
