Philly Police Make Arrest In Fatal Hit-And-Run

Philadelphia Police have arrested 21-year-old Todd Burton in connection with a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred last month.

Police say that on Sunday, January 12, 2020, at approximately 3:44 am, Burton left the scene of fatal auto versus pedestrian accident that took the life of 27-year-old Tiffany Reed in the 2700 block of North Broad Street.

Reed was transported by medics to Albert Einstein Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased at just before 5:00.

Surveillance video recovered from the area showed a dark-colored vehicle immediately after the pedestrian strike. The vehicle continued north on Broad street then East on Glenwood Avenue. Police said at the time that the vehicle should have had noticeable front end damage.

Yesterday, Monday, February 3, 2020, Burton was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide, tampering with evidence and related offenses in connection with Reed’s death, according to authorities.
